David Benson, LMSW, ACSW has recently accepted a part-time position as a Psychiatric Clinical Social Worker at Henry Ford Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI.   David will be assisting in the treatment of severely mentally ill adults.  David Benson, LMSW, ACSW is currently accepting new clients at EastShore Counseling Services.

David M. Benson, MSW, LMSW, ACSW

David Benson is a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker with extensive child and adolescent treatment experience in outpatient and residential settings.

His practice specializes in children and adolescent issues, such as; ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Foster and Adoptive Placements (separation), and Inappropriate Sexual Behavior. David has many years of experience working in adolescent detention facilities with adjudicated adolescents and children removed from their homes.

His history includes an extensive background of working with adults that suffer from Depression, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Relationship Difficulties and Marital Counseling. Mr. Benson implements a comprehensive, innovative treatment approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioral techniques, as well as collaboration/referral to psychiatrists when needed. David also maintains frequent contact with the parents of minor clients through phone calls and e-mails.

He is available for trainings, lectures and court assessments.

At EastShore Counseling Services, an experienced mental health professional will provide individual, group, or family counseling, depending upon your personal needs.
